đ¸ Spring Clean Your Self-Care Routine

Spring is a natural time of renewal. Many of us use this season to declutter our homesâbut itâs just as important to refresh our habits, routines, and mindset. April is the perfect time to take stock of your self-care.
1. Reassess Whatâs Working (and Whatâs Not)
Are your current habits actually helping you feel rested and grounded?
Personally, I need to focus on a better bedtime routine. Iâd love to blame daylight savings, but the truth is... I stay up way too late scrolling and feel exhausted when the alarm goes off. Iâd rather embrace the chirping birds and crisp spring mornings than curse them while hitting snooze three times.
What can you let go of thatâs not serving youâjust like decluttering a closet?
Iâm going to start incorporating a nightly guided meditation to help me unwind, instead of getting sucked into a social media rabbit hole.
2. Add More of What Feeds You
Think: time in nature, movement that feels good, nourishing food, and quality sleep.
Lately, weâve been spending our afternoons at the park and out on the scooter! Itâs a great way for my daughter to burn off some energyâand an excellent opportunity for me to get some movement and vitamin D. My dogs love it too!
Massage is also a great resetâespecially after a long, stagnant winter.
You might assume that as a Licensed Massage Therapist and owner of a group practice, I must get massages all the time. Truth? I donât. But Iâve been intentional about making space for it in my routine, and itâs been so helpful. Regular massage helps me feel more relaxed, grounded, and presentâespecially on our afternoon walks.
3. Get Back Into Your Body
Winter can leave us tense, stiff, and disconnected.
Many of us tend to hibernate, and it can be hard to return to our routines. Something as âsimpleâ as a walk can leave us sore! Massage can help treat cranky muscles and also prevent your body from acting up as you get moving again.
4. Create Space for Stillness
Spring can be busyâso balance that energy with moments of rest.
Itâs motivating to see flowers bloom and open the windowsâbut itâs easy to overdo it. Carve out time for yourself. Even 10 minutes of meditation or a Drumming Journey Circle at Well Rested Massage can help you reset between mopping floors and cleaning baseboards.
Set boundaries, say no, and remember: doing less is sometimes more.
If your sweet neighbor needs help with yard work, say yes if you can. But itâs okay to say no. Prioritizing your own needs isnât selfishâyou canât pour from an empty cup.
5. Book Ahead and Make It Routine
Plan your self-care in advance so it doesnât fall off the list.
We all have the best intentions when we say, âIâll do it tomorrow.â But then tomorrow comes⌠and we forget. Book now while itâs on your mind! You can schedule online anytimeâso donât wait.
Our spring schedule is filling fast, especially with our New Talent Special continuing through May! Donât miss your chance to get an excellent session at a steep discount. We also offer memberships and packages to make regular care more accessible.
