Two Years of Well Rested Massage: A Journey of Growth, Challenges, and What’s Next

Writer: Tiffany WilsonTiffany Wilson

Two years ago, I took a leap of faith. I wanted to create something special—a space where people could come to truly rest, recharge, and feel cared for. I knew the power of massage and the impact it had on my own well-being, and I wanted to share that with my community.

What I didn’t know back then was just how much this little dream would grow.

Now, sitting here two years later, I’m feeling so grateful. Grateful for every person who has trusted us with their care, for the incredible team that has come together, and for the lessons—both the easy and the hard ones—that have shaped Well Rested Massage into what it is today.

The Growth: More Than I Ever Imagined

When I first started, Well Rested Massage was just me, working in a single cozy room, hoping to make a difference. Fast forward to today, and we now have a beautiful new space at 19 South Main Street with three spacious treatment rooms (including a couples room!) and a client lounge designed for relaxation before or after sessions. We’ve even added a chairlift to make the space fully ADA-compliant, making sure that relaxation is truly accessible to all.

And the team—oh, the team! I can’t say enough about them.

I’d be absolutely lost without Eleni, Gabby, and Izzie—the friendly faces who keep everything running smoothly at the front desk. They’re the ones who greet you with a smile, help check you in and out, keep up with texts and emails, and make sure every visit to Well Rested Massage feels effortless and welcoming.

Their attention to detail and dedication ensure that from the moment you walk through our doors, your experience is nothing short of incredible. Whether you have a question about scheduling, need a last-minute appointment, or just want a warm welcome, these three make it happen.

Next time you stop by, be sure to say hi—they’re an essential part of what makes Well Rested Massage feel like home!

Each of our therapists and wellness practitioners brings their own unique skills, intuition, and care to every session—ensuring that no matter who you book with, you’re in expert hands. Carly, Kaylee, Courtney, Zech, and Pauline each bring something special to the table—literally! Whether you’re looking for deep relief, gentle energy work, or a moment to truly unwind, this team is here to support you. Pauline also teaches yoga at Well Rested Massage through her business Motus Training on select days.

Seeing this team come together and knowing that more and more people can experience the care they deserve? That’s been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.I'm so lucky to have them, and I know you’ll love them just as much as I do!

The Challenges: Learning, Adapting, and Growing

Of course, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing. Growth is exciting, but it’s also hard. Moving into a bigger space was overwhelming—navigating renovations, unexpected costs, and the pressure of will this work? was a lot. I had moments of doubt, exhaustion, and wondering if I was in over my head.

Then there’s the challenge of balance—something I talk about often with clients but am still learning for myself. Running a business, giving massages, mentoring staff, managing bookings, keeping up with demand, and still finding time for me? It’s been tough.

That’s why I’ve made the decision to slowly reduce my personal client load so I can focus more on growing Well Rested Massage in a way that truly supports both clients and staff. I love what I do, and I’ll always be hands-on (literally and figuratively), but I also know that for this business to thrive, I need to step into a leadership role that allows me to support my team and our clients in a bigger way.

What’s Coming Next?

The heart of Well Rested Massage has always been about connection—whether it’s through the work we do in our treatment rooms, the relationships we build with our clients, or the ways we collaborate with the community. Looking ahead, I want to continue deepening that sense of connection in new ways.

  • Expanding Workplace Massage – Bringing relaxation and stress relief directly into workplaces has been a huge success, and I’m excited to continue growing this part of our business. If your office or organization is interested in workplace wellness, let’s chat!

  • Collaborating with Other Small Businesses – I love working with other local businesses to create experiences that go beyond massage. This year, I’m looking forward to hosting and participating in events focused on connection and well-being—whether it’s a self-care workshop, a wellness pop-up, or something completely new. Stay tuned for details!

  • Supporting Our Team & Clients in Meaningful Ways – While my personal client load will be shifting, my focus remains on ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors receives the best care possible. That means continuing to support my team, refining our offerings, and making Well Rested Massage a space where both clients and therapists feel valued.

Two years ago, I never could have imagined where this journey would take me. There have been long days, hard lessons, and moments of pure exhaustion—but through it all, the support from this community has kept me going.

Every time you book an appointment, refer a friend, leave a kind review, or simply step through our doors, you are helping this dream continue to grow. And for that, I can’t thank you enough.

Here’s to another year of growth, healing, and making space for rest—together.
